Shantiniketan

I have been to Shantiniketan........ via Burdwan Junction.

That's my recollection of Burdwan!

In college, a friend and I decided we would quit drugs at his place in Burdwan.
As a last waltz kind of thing, we took lots of drugs of every imaginable pedigree along with us.
We ate lots of rice and maach, drowned in sweets... and in between, we kept going back to our communal stash.
The drugs never ran out so we didn't quit that time. But the food was sssssuperb, I have happy memories.

Not Really, I am born and brought up in Kolkata,
Recently I went to " Renaissance" and liked the
concept and facilities over there , and just
thinking whether to settle over there .

You can also visit Katwa and Kalna .... 2 hours by road from Burdwan ... Both are historically significant places and have lot to see ..

you can also enjoy an off-bit journey by availing Toy-train sort of Train (having just two compartments!!!) that runs regularly between Burdwan and Katwa through the beautiful villages of Burdwan district
