The day was Sunday but exceptionally it started very early at 4:30 am for me... as we were to go to Howrah to catch Digha bound Tamralipta Express at 6:30 am.
This small trip was exclusively for relaxing.... we had booked AC CC for to and fro journey and a good comfortable hotel with AC rooms exactly one month ago.

It was a clear day, but it started raining moderately just before reaching Kanthi...

We went to see the sea after having lunch... there were balls all around.. red, orange, yellow... lots of tourists...(tourist? crazy to have bath in the sea only) and of course the sea...

Re: Trip to Digha ... Just to Relax

The first photograph is as good as any I have seen here. Amazing candid portrayal of wanderlust. Brilliant.
Cheers

No no dear, I am a student myself.

Now let's cut that. I have again seen the image in the morning. You have caught a priceless moment. The slightly nostalgic expression on the face of the elderly lady, the thumb sucking eagerness of the kid, both equally lost in their own worlds, the outside drenched in rain. It is a killer. A perfect candidate for black & white conversion and a frame upon your wall.

cheers
Somnath

Thanks to all

We had a lazy noon in hotel room and went to the beach in late afternoon...

After taking a lot of snaps of the family (my son, his father, grandpa and grandma... in all possible permutations and combinations) keeping the sea in back ground.... I looked back.... I was confused for a moment... where am I ? is that digha beach or Darjeeling mall?

The afternoon was very special... I did not know what is waiting for me... I selected Udaipur beach and Taalsari Mohona for sight seeing... and Chandaneswar Temple (highly on demand by my mother-in-law).
We booked a car in the morning for the trip (the same car we took to reach hotel from station)... the driver was nice person and charged reasonable (I think so... )
I was thinking for Sunset @ Udaipur ... but it did not happen as we reached Udaipur @ 4:45 pm... it was sunny and never-seen-before-blue sky

I fall in love at the first sight... two fisher man's boats were kept by the sandy and muddy path towards the beach...

Just stepped on the beach and a vastness and loneliness fill my heart...

Elder ones promptly acquired a few chairs stalled there by in a small food/drink stall.... and we wandered here and there.

Our next stop was at Chandaneswar temple... I don't like to say much about it.

Its dirty... feel-bad temple.. for me atleast.
I did not enter all the temples around the place.. and was waiting for others to complete all the "temple run levels"
I am joking... I am not hurting anyone...
I was looking around.. lots of small children beggars nagging devotees for some money... a not-known-to-me bird was tweeting in high scale but the tune was nice... afternoon sun was peeping from the trees... bells were ringing in different rhythm..different volume.. in different temples around there.
Suddenly a "Panda" came up to me and forcefully put a Chandan Tilak on my forehead..said its a "Blessing from God"... and demanded money for this...
I said, "Thank you... but God never demand money from his children in return of his blessing"... I knew whatever I shall tell to that Panda is of no use.. but I liked to say. To defense myself I handed over Rs. 10 ... it seemed it was too much for him..he was very happy... and to do the worse some more Pandas came to me and attacked me with those Chandan Tilaks ... all demanded money in return.
Ooohhh what an irritating experience... My husband was laughing at me ... like saying, why did not you follow others in the temples...now see what happened?

I did not take any snap of this temple
