regarding our second day trip from Rocky island to Jhalong bindu and Chapramari, can you please let me know from where we can get the entry tickets of Chapramari forest? Is it from Chalsa or Murti?The Jalpaiguri wild life division website http://www.jalpaiguriwildlife.org/cmore.html
suggests that Permits to the Watch Tower are made from Lataguri Nature Interpretation Centre and Garumara North Range Office at Chalsa.Do you have any idea whether this Garumara North Range Office is in Chalsa or at murti?(because as the map http://www.oocities.org/tour_map/tou...bengal_map.jpg suggests Murti is 9km down from Chalsa)
I mean is it on our way from Rocky island to Jhallong, can we book the evening slot (4-6PM) in the morning while on our way to Jhallong, so that we can come at around 4 pm from Jhallong bindu and can enter Chapramari....and then back to Rocky island...

Please suggest which route we should follow for our 2nd day trip..

Amit, regarding Chapramari, we were told that we have to start very early morning to book safari and there was uncertainty also. I really know nothing more of the route and booking.

I became a fan of your writing..Really liked it..It gives a very detail info regarding Rocky Island...I am planning a 7 days trip to Dooars during Pujas ( Dooars tour during October : Need suggestions ).I have a doubt: Is it worth staying at Paren tourist lodge as I'm already staying 2 days in Murti Bonani resort which is a nearby plae. Should I opt for rocky island ?

I must suggest you to visit Rocky island. You'll enjoy, no doubt.
