Tajpur / Mondarmoni Hotels
Tajpur / Mondarmoni Hotels
I was considering a trip to Mondarmoni in first week of Feb 2013. After several unsuccessful attempts to book Rose Valley Resort I was looking into Hotel Sonar Bangla but recently it had a very bad review regarding some antisocial locals. This was also a thought that my dad had about the place and he wishes to go to Tajpur. But details regarding the quality of accommodation is very thin for Tajpur. By my limited research i was thinking between Mallickaa resort or Tajpur Beach Resort.
I am an Kolkata born man currently living in UK. My wife is from Ireland and we will be travelling with our little 3 year old girl and my parents who live outside Kolkata. Safety is our priority as is a clean comfortable place as well as having things to do for my little one. Could you people please advice. Thank you.

@paddyindian: In your other post I have shared my experience on Tajpur Nature Camp, but when I was there, the place did not look safe at all.. the beach was too secluded and often we found ourselves alone on the beach.
In Mandarmani I can suggest you a very good hotel at very affordable rates.. (my personal favourite and have visited more than three times) Neel Nirjone. Just go through their site .. http://www.neelnirjaney.com/home/. They have a beautiful sit out with deck chairs right on the beach and rooms are new and well maintained, food Awesome.
Room tip: Take a room on 1st floor, you can see the sea from room and regarding food they have meal plans as well as ala carte.

Hi Paddyindian
I completely agree with amisoumyajit. I have been to both Rose Valley and Nil Nirjaney and would recommend the later for more than one reason. However, try to avoid the weekends if you want their best service. The sit out with deck chairs is something that makes it different from some of the much hyped hotels in Mandarmani. Amongst all staffs, one named Pramod is particularly helpful.
Wishing you a great vacation
