Talking Sunderban- The Beautiful jungle

Hi All,
I am new to this forum and wish to visit Sunderban along a group of friends.
Our main consideration are
Low Budget and High Adventure.
Planning to visit on 23january 2009.
I have done a lot of tour via various tour operators on Sunderban via Internet Explorer
But nothing is really fascinating me for Adventure.
Help Needed.

Regards,
Leoruls

ok I tell my itinerary of travelling to sundarbans in really low budget during college days..... we did the trip around 12 yrs back so please confirm the names of places.....

1)take local train in Sealdah - Canning route to Canning
2)cross river in boat to other side of river
3)take auto/bus to Sonakhali
4)take steamer to Gosaba
5)take rickshaw van to Sajnekhali (sundarbans)

well the most adventurous part was this -

we were short of money in staying for another night in the only decent lodge in the heart of sundarbans run my govt tourism dept......... so we could manage the boatman with whom we travlled inside sundarbans to agree to let us spend the night in his boat for the night........ he anchored the boat in the middle of the river and cooked for us chicken curry and rice....... after sunset it was complete dark and it was impossible to understand without the time without looking at the watch.........later on we understood that royal bengal tigers are expert swimmers and they could have attacked our boat also

Dear All,
We are back from Sunderban and have a amazing trip...value for money kindoff. But what i suggest to people visiting to Sunderban to really enjoy the serene Nature is to go during Off-season when crowd is less. Otherwise the beauty is just lost somewhere. And plzzzz take care of ur health as Water borne disease are just round the corner, have faced when returned back.
Regards,
Leoruls
