I am planning to book Hotel rooms well in advance,Can I book these type of hotels online or any other way. Any pointers for Good hotels in this range. 4.If I don't book the hotel rooms in advance, Will it be difficult to find a room after reaching there. 5.Do I get any sharing vehicles for sight seeing in each location. 6.Is it suggestible that Visiting Sikkim in the month of may I request experienced people to respond this, I need your help to make my trip success. 1. May is a good month to visit these places.
2. There is public transport (buses/shared taxi)- Shared Taxi is the best. Shared taxi Services: NJP/Siliguri to Darjeeling Go from Darjeeling to Pelling: this way - Darjeeling to Jorthang, then Jorthang to Gejing, then Gejing to Pelling. If you are lucky, you can get the direct jeep service from Jorthang to Pelling. From Pelling, you will have service to Gangtok. From Gangtok, there are frequent services to Siliguri. Always inquire about the status of services and book an advance seat the earlier day. 2. There are plenty of hotels in these places, no need for advance booking. Just find some. 3. Try and visit Yumthang from Gangtok in at least the 1N2D package. It is worth a visit. regards, Bhaswaran ![]()

hello: how to do this in 5 days?
Day-1 - Reach NJP in the morning. NJP to Darjeeling. Toy train and local site seeing. Day-2 morning - Tiger hill to see sunrise Day-5 evening - Take train from NJP. Would anyone please suggest the best way to fill up Day 2, 3, 4, 5. I will leave North Sikkim for a future trip. I prefer to visit Gangtok, Pelling, Lava, Ravangala. You are encouraged to suggest different things. Thanks and Cheers!! |

Bhaswaran has pretty much answered everything... For Pelling I would suggest Hotel Rabdentse residency, fantastic place with good food, good service & a great manager/owner. I have added it to the Hotel Listings section
