Thank you asishDa for your valuable suggestions..Yea i too know it will be difficult to get e shared cab in those areas.Ya surely i will get in touch with that driver named in the previous post.CAn u suggest me a alternate trip plan if i start from Lava on 15th oct and then come to Malbazar via Gorubathan on 18th oct or stay at malbazar and visit Lava for 1 day trip. I have in total of 6 days including 15th Oct..

We did similar type of trip couple of years back. We came to Malbazar by KK Exp, hired a cab, straightway went to Lataguri(stayed at Silver Ridge Resort for 2 nights), covered Gorumara and Chapramari Wild Life Sanctuaries, made a day trip to Samsing, Suntalekhola, Jaldhaka, Bindu, Paren etc., came back to Malbazar, stayed 1 night at Malbazar Tourist Lodge, hired another cab from Malbazar, proceeded to Lava (stayed 1 N), then went to Lolaygaon (stayed 1 N), then proceeded to Kalimpong via Pedong (stayed 1 N at Kalimpong), finally proceeded to Siliguri/NJP. From NJP we boarded Darjeeling Mail for our return journey. It is exactly 6 N trip, journey time excluded. We had no problem anywhere, rather we enjoyed our trip immensely. You can think similar program.

Thank You AsishDa , your plan sounds nice. Just a bit query How long does it take to reach Lava from Malbazar. What time it will be appropriate to leave for ? Can Rishop (wont stay there) be included before leaving Lava.

Malbazar to Lava by cab would take around 3 hours. Little more or less. I prefer to travel in the morning, leave after breakfast, reach Lava around 12 noon, check in and have lunch and then go out for sight seeing. Yes, you can include Rishap for a day trip from Lava. 1 hours to go and 1 hours to come back and spend 2 hours, thus you need 4/5 hours for this.

My suggestions are as follows:

1. As per my understanding Malbazar TL has some local quota for rooms, which are controlled by the Manager of the Lodge and are allotted by him to drive in customers. If you find Kolkata quota is exhausted, please talk to the Manager over phone and try to book rooms from his quota.

2. Malbazar Municipality has got a rest house(I think its name is UDICHI), which is reasonably good accommodation. I had personally seen the place. But unfortunately I do not have contact number. You can Google and try to get the contact number of Malbazar Municipality. This accommodation, if available, would be good and economical also.

3. I saw a private Hotel near Malbazar TL. If I rememeber correctly, the name of this Hotel is Hotel Kasturi. You can try this also. Unfortunately, I do not have any contact number.

4. I am giving a link to a Dooars Map, which will help you to plan your trip. Here is the link: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tu_n4Ci54P...orthbengal.jpg

Hope this helps.

Smile drivers name and contact no

But my suggested programme is very much doable. It won't be hectic at all. My team is full of senior citizens and children and we had no pressure at all. So, cheers, Happy journey!
