Estomated Fooding Cost at Lepchajagat & Jorpokhri
Hi

Can you give an estimate cost for food.
At Lepchajagat DB Rs. 1500/- per night & at Jorpokhri DB Rs, 1200/- per night. But is this include breakfast - lunch - dinner ?
thanks in advance

No no. Food is not inclusive. Food estimate depends upon your choice of meal. We were 5 people and for 2 nights our food expense was around 2000/-, including innumerable cups of tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
Best Rooms at Lepchajagat & Jorpokhri
Thanks cutiepie
Another question
Which Room (SUITE 1 or SUITE 2) will be best for Lepchajagat ?
and
Which Room will be best for Jorpokhri Tourist Lodge by DGHC ?

we had visited jorepokhri in the month of May,2012 ....from my experience an important point i would like to share
If you do your booking from Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council office in kolkata you pay half the amount in advance and if your trip is cancelled for any reason then you lose only that amount.
On the other hand, if you book from journey mart office in Mango lane kolkata, you got to pay 100% in advance and you risk losing the entire amount if your trip is cancelled finally.

Would you share your experience at Jorepokhari ?

An honest opinion. I did not like Jorepokhri only for thereason that it is so artificial. Very man-made kind of actually. What I mean is God created a beautiful place and man destroyed it by making artificial structures. The ambience and surroundings are really breathtaking there, but the beauty has been marred by the construction of twin artificial lakes(due to which the place is called Jorepokhri) and a huge stone idol of a five headed snake in the middle.(Naagraaj).
Other than that the place is beautiful, surrounded by Pine trees and enveloped in mist almost all the time.

Very Honest
I think cutiepie is very HONEST.
By the way, Any alternative for Jorepokhri ?
Some one said, Lepchajagat & Jorepokhri have the same charm ?
So, what will be best beside Lepchajagat ?

Lepchajagat, Jorepokhri and Darjeeling
Hi,
I plan to visit Lepchajagat, Jorepokhri and Darjeeling for 4 nights and 5 days in the next month. Was inspired from your post and it seemed that you had been to these places before. Could you please help me in planing my itinerary.
What I learnt from the posts in IM, Lepchajagat would be a better place to stay as compared to Jorepokhri. If that is the case then for how many days should I plan to stay their?
Next I would like to move to Darjeeling. Could you please suggest the best hotels (cost effective) hotels in Darjeeling taking into consideration that I will be accompanied by my parents and don't wish to walk/climb a lot.
What are the most popular tourist spots in Darjeeling and how do I plan to visit them. Do I need to hire a car or is it within walking distance?
Seek your guidance.
Thank You.
