Lava/Rishyap

I am planning to visit either Lava or Rishyap in January.But i can;t decide where to go.My budget is atmost 2000/- .Please help me.i want calm amd serene place for the weekend.What is the transport costs to go to Lava/Rishyap?(both in share and if we book whole vehicle)

are a group of frnds of u going?coz travelling alone,2000 will be too tight.in that case u have to go to panitanki from NJP station,share trekker price will be around 50rs.from Panitanki to kalimpong will be another 60-70 perhead.from kalimpong to lava 70-80 perhead.that makes it roughly within 200 from NJP to Lava.make it double so about 400 for a to n fro trip to lava.the best place to stay is rishop.trek to rishop from lava,its just 4km away.a trekker trip will cost u 450 for the entire car.rishop is a beautiful picturusque village with terrace farmings of potato,maize,cabbage.tiffindar a a view point gives good view.rishop's best for the panoramic view of mt kanjenjungha,kabru pandim,nathula pass n at night stars twinkling on the hills........its just a divine experience.hotel 'kanchan-view' in rishop is a good option.contact can be provided if necessary.have a safe n good trip.

seems like a good place to visit.Exactly where are these places.i kid of know from reading its near NJP.WB or Sikkim?Are there many hotels options in rishap.is it a trekking base?when is the best time to visit them.can you also mention kanchan-view's contact .It might be of help to me and others in future.

You don't really mean that, do you? Because Panitanki is near the
Nepal border, in almost exactly the opposite direction from
Kalimpong! What you probably mean is the Panitanki More in Siliguri.

If the budget is limited, a cheaper option of travelling would be
to use buses.
