kolkata - santiniketan -rampurhat-kolkata

oh...just a few more days left to my trip.

I'm in Kolkata now and would like to take a couple of days to visit
Santinketan and Rampurhat to visit Tarapith returning to Kolkata.

What is the best best way to go to these places. How far is Rampurhat from Santinketan? I only have a fews days to do it all.
Is it a reasonable short trip?

I am sorry, but I don't know the best way to get from Rampur Hat to Santiniketan. But if I am not to wrong, Santiniketan is close to Bolpur, which again is on the way from Kolkata to Rampur Hat.

There are daily trains from Howrah to Rampur Hat. The journey takes about 4-6 hours. I know there is a train that leaves from Howrah 06.05 am, but there are other trains as well.

take any morning train to Bolpur (Shantiniketan). arrive in 4 - 5 hours. Spend two nights enough to see that University town. Take the morning train to Rampurhat again from Bolpur and go to temple by auto rickshaw from Rampurhat. You might be back to Kolkata by evening of 3rd day by catching theevening train to Kolkata.
