Info required about Mukutmonipur or Garpanchkot this January

I am planning to relax 2-3 days with my family either at MukutManipur or Garpnchakot. Can anybody tell me which one is better and where to book a best accomodation there? If I go by car, please advise me about the direction.

Both the places are good.In Garpanchkot you will get the view of Panchet Hill and Dam and nearby Maithon Dam.Best accommodation is WBFDC Lodge.Drive straight to Asansol(Niamatpur) via NH2, then take left turn to Disharegarh and reach Garpanchkot through Puapur More.

At Mukutmonipur you will get a huge dam, the confluence of River Kansabati and Kumari, surrounded by hills.The best place to stay is Peerless Resort/WBFDC Lodge.Drive upto Durgapur via NH2, take left turn through Durgapur barrage, and after crossing the entry point of Bankura, (Dhanedanga More)take right turn to Khatra.From Khatra Mukutmonipur is just 7kms.

I have few questions --

(a) How much crowded will these places be in January?

(b) Are the area safe if we go on bike?

(c) Do we have to book these resorts earlier? Do you have any contact numbers for these resorts?

To answer your questions:
a) There will not be so much crowd at both the places in weekdays. Reason behind at Garpanchkot you will get only decent accomodation at WBFDC lodge. And also at Mukutmonipur the options are limited. But, in weekend people from nearby areas go there for picnic.
b) Both the places are safe for tourists. But my advice would be not to venture out after evening.

I decided to go to Garpanchkot but I come to know WBFDC accomodation is full at Garpanchkot. There is one more eco freindly cheap accomodation is there, named 'PALAS BITHI ECO RESORT'. Will you give me the contact number for this hotel?
