Honeymoon in Feb 10' to Northeast

Hi,
i was planning for a honey moon in Feb 2010.I was thinking about darjeeling, gangtok, kalimpong (may/may not include). What places can we visit for a weeks time? How would the weather shape up? You could share your personal experiences..and suggestions

darjeeling is BEST AVOIDED. Its a dieseled, overfull unmaintained place that doesn't deserve its status.

the views are as good from kalimpong, or better, just do gangtok (+ north sikkim) and pelling (bestest views)

Feb in Darjeeling will not be crowded - so it will not be bad. If you want isolation, stay at Lepcha Jagat instead of Darjeeling.

Hitanshu.. wouldn't it be too cold to go north sikkim in the month of Feb?
Also can u suggest some good hotels with nice view in Gangtok??

Give a call to Rikesh. He's the localite. I am not. I would reckon though, that you'd get things fantastically cold and icy though the road would be open - i.e best of both worlds.

Hotels is a dicey thing. The main MG road has many decent hotels (see Cleartrip) but frankly, none has a really great view - but they are REALLY convenient and comfortable. Save the views for Pelling!

Feb is good time to visit this part of India.
If you want less crowded then Biksthang, Pelling, Rabongla, Borong, Kaluk, Pedong, Rishop or Aritar can be tried
