hills and monsoon..

keeping in mind the current scenario of changing political situation of Darjeeling ,is it a good idea to go to the foggy wet hilly area and enjoy the monsoon there?

i do not think its a good idea, i was a student in one of the boarding schools in darj, and it rains quite heavily at this time, resulting in landslides. so if u dont have the intention of "enjoying the monsoon" all cooped up in your hotel room, i would suggest a different monsoon getaway.
the political condition is not something that would prevent you, though.
these people had put up non-violent strikes, but now the situation is back to normal, at least for tourists.
