I saw one Private resort "Palasbithi" opposite
to WBFDC resort, I heard the arrangement over
there is very basic and without any electricity.

I suggest you try at "Wheels Travel and tours"
at Gariahat , they are the booking agent for
WBFDC , and you can get reservation through them
at quite late stage too. I give 10 points out of 10
to WBFDC , Garpanchkot resort was superb.

Cheers

Thank you Chief.
BTW, Yesterday I went to visit West Bengal Food & Tourism festival at Nalban Boating Complex (7th – 11th Jan). WB Forest Dept. stall is there…… may be you’ll be able to get some more info / reservation facility at their stall.

Palash Bithi is a very very basic accommodation option almost opposite the gate of WBFDC. They have only two triple bed rooms. Some solar lighting facility is there as I had seen the solar panels atop the roof. The charge is Rs 250 (that is what the caretaker told us).

I dont think that it is worth to stay there as WBFDC with starting range of Rs 700 is far far better.
