| ?????????????????? I'm confused, I thought there had been Sunderbans river tours for a few years, I'm sure I remember reading about someone's trip. There is a (established) tour company been offering river tours for a couple of years (Is it Patels?). I'll have to have a look at some of my old info. |

| which reminds me of the Discovery channel story on the Tigers of the Sunderbans. Interviewing the forest guards, one of the chaps who patrolled on the boats said (paraphrasing) We are all playing cards and drinking on the watch when the man eater swam up and grabbed one of them by swimming upto the boat. It all happened in a flash, he said. Dude, after seeing Jaws, anything over 1 feet of water, you're shark bait; so no entering the water. now these tigers simply grab you whereever you are. no boats now. Makes me want to cry. ![]()

| The company I was thinking about (post 2) is Coromandel, but I can't find anything on their website. I'll attempt to tidy up my room today and hopefully find their brochure. |

| quoting from the link "the total package will be of three days and two nights. We are charging Rs 15,000-20,000 per person for the package," she said. The operator is targeting inbound tourists from the UK, USA and other European countries." expensive, i think.
