There are lots of places around Chowrasta, frequented by as many Indian tourists and locals as 'foreigners'. There is also the Devekas restaurant at Clubside, it's Tibetan and the portions are HUGE - be warned.
Have fun, Darjeeling's a great place. ![]()

Hi aalberg.
We particularly enjoyed The Park in Darjeeling. The food was great, so was the service ..... and we were the only white faces in the place. From talking to people at the tables around us, not only Indian tourists, but also locals eat there too. I can't recommend it highly enough. |

Hi aahlberg,
There are lot of options at chowrasta as mentioned by TQ, and The Park by Judi, where the Indian people go. But if you consider the quality and variety of food, please find a list right here: http://www.darjeelingnews.net/darjee...staurants.html I can’t resist myself from providing my favorite places at Darjeeling:1. Keventers 2. Glenary's 3. The Park 4. Fiesta (I know I know, Rob the pom is not happy with me . OK Rob, let me mention it now – it is Joey's Pub)- Somnath |

In darjeeling, we were in "Darjeelind Tourist Lodge", A lodge of West Bengal tourism. Here I tested the best tea I ever had.
In breakfast, various day we tested different items there. But I'll prefer to suggest the "aloo paratha". All the items we tried, were really tasty there. Coffee in Fiesta ....offff great. We also had our dinner there. Keventers & Glenary's are also remarkable. Don't forget to taste some Tibetan items there. Let me take a nap to taste all these items in dream . |

Hi aalberg.
Lots of my favourites are already here but for me, my very favourite place is still Kunga at Clubside. The best tenthuk soup in all the land and lovelly, friendly people. The best Tibetan bread I had was in Aliment hotel. And one day we had a crazy treat and ate at the Elgin, which was amazing but deadly expesnive. Have a terrific time, Darjeeling is loads of fun.
