Darjeeling Hotel comparison

Hello Everyone,
I'm planning to visit Darjeeling for 3 Nights.
I'm confused between hotel mayfair and fortune resort.
Can anyone please advice which one should i choose.
Which has better facilities and better location?

Regards,
Ashish

Hi Ashish,

Unles you're going in really high season, don't bother about making reservations. There's lots of choice.

Hans

Thanks for the reply, but the cost of mayfair is getting out of hand. Can somebody suggest a good hotel in range of 5000 Rs per day?

Regards,
Ashish

Then have a look at the fortune resorts.... our , atleast mine, vote for Mayfair was in no way stemming from a bad experience...Mayfair did that bit extra for me to put it above Fortune but the latter is a decent property as well....and within your budget i think..

Darjeeling

I've just spent three days at Himalayan Resort Darjeeling and liked it a lot. Ask for a room with a view. Should be within your price range.

Good luck

Sandra

The hotel is at the end of Gandhi Road, away from the bustle but close enough to go out. Their restaurant serves indian, nepali, continental etc. dishes. Nice rooftop terrace with a view, you can also eat there. Easy to reach also for restaurants in town, 5 - 0 min walk.

Hope that helps :-)

Greetings

Sandra

I meant 10 min walk of course ;-)

Hi ashi,

1. Darjeeling Tourist Lodge – WBTDC. (Room no 1 and 2 in ground floor or on 1st floor just top of these two, for the best view). 1200 – 1400 per day.
2. Windamere. http://www.windamerehotel.com/windamere.asp
3. Hotel Cedder Inn - http://www.darjeelingnews.net/html_o...cedar_inn.html
