Darjeeling duration?

Is one day enough for sightseeing in darjeeling ?.
Can we cover Tiger point ,ghum and then go for 10:40 AM train joy ride ? we can cover tea estate etc in afternoon.
do we need to pre-book joy ride becoz i'll be going in peak season during puja/diwali.

You surely will need pre-booking for the toy train as it gets quite difficult to get a seat otherwise. Secondly, a day in Darjeeling will be too less - you may hire a local cab there and see about 7 points at a stretch in the day but a) it'll be very hectic and b) you'll not be able to do justice to the location itself and will miss out quite a few places.
I'ld suggest you to keep atleast 2 full days for Darjeeling and, if possible, a day for Mirik.
