Bus travel from Siliguri to Kolkatta

Hello,

We are visiting Sikkim in end-April. Our return tickets from NJP are still waitlisted. I have confirmed tickets from Howrah to Madras - the train leaves Howrah at 2350.

There are no convenient day trains from NJP to Howrah/Sealdah. We are wondering if there are A/C buses between Siliguri and Kolkatta. I hear that there is a regular bus service from WBTC - but don't know if there is a convenient A/C bus.

Bus Journey are very much tiresome on this Siliguri -
kolkata Route , the Bus Route NH 34 / NH 31 are in
terrible shape. I would not recommend anyone to take bus
journey on this Route, this should be your last option.

Try to get overnight trains like Darjeeling Mail which is much comfortable and convenient.
But if you prefer bus, then you must travel by Volvo buses. The best bus service provider in this route is Royal Cruiser. For more info, you can visit http://www.royalcruiser.com/

I have once travelled in their buses and the journey was quite comfortable.
