Budget Hotels in Darjeeling

Hi,

I am looking for a budget accomodation in darjeeling - something that will charge me < Rs.500/- for a double-bed room.
My family ( 8 persons ) need to spend 2 nights in Darjeeling.

Has anybody stayed in the DGHCT owned Lewis Jubilee Complex in Darjeeling ? Its a budget accomodation I believe. How is it ?Does it have decent rooms ?

I called up Hotel Aliment but they don't accept advance bookings. Andy's guesthouse is booked till May end. Prestige Hotel have hiked their tariff ( above 500/- ). So I am in the hunt for a decent budget accomodation.

I would be surprised if you find decent budget accomodation less than 500 Rs in Darjeeling. There are some dingy guesthouses neat TV tower with rooms resembling Indian prison cells, your best bet should be some hotels down from Clubside. I stayed in one - Seven Seas Lodge, it was OK. As far as I know from many years of travel in India no cheap hotel accept phone reservation.
