| Baul Mela has anyone been to, or does anyone know about, the "baul mela" aka "Joydev Mela" at Kenduli? i know it starts on the first day of Poush which as i understand it is January 14th... and that it takes place at Kenduli, near or in Bolpur. how many people come to this fesival? what is it like? is it one of the most important baul festivals? how many bauls are there? is it three days of baul jams? also, how to get there from calcutta... i would love to go to both GangaSagar and the Baul Mela, but am not sure how long it would actually take to travel between the two. any information appreciated! |

| Take a train to Bolpur from Kolkata and arrive on 11th. or 12th. Jan for the baul mela. I saw a post some time back about the trip to Ganga sagar mela. |
