Accomm. in Rishyap

Hello all...Request suggestions on choice of accommodation in Rishyap .. Also, at the WBTDC facility in Loleygaon, which of the cottages have the best view and vantage position... Between Loleygaon and Rishyap, what would be the essential difference.. Are the (pine) forests more pristine in Rishyap? Is Rishyap less spoilt by, say, the vagaries of unchecked tourism?
Thanks.

Dear Indetraveller,
I Have Been To Rishyap Only A Few Days Back. The Journey From Lava To Rishyap Is Very Bumpy. You Can Stay At Neora Valley Resorts Or At Sonar Bangla. Sonar Bangla Will Cost You Around Rs.1000 To Rs. 1200 Do Bargain!!. There Are Many Other Hotels As Well Ranging From Rs. 300 Upwards With All Good Facilities. You Can See The Kanchenjhanga Range From Here Unless It Is Foggy.
Have Great Journey.
Gd

Dear gde...thanks for your response...Pls. let me know the approx. tariff for cab/taxi from Bagdogra-Rishyap (did you hire a private cab, or the public transport/shared jeep).. How long would this journey take?

Could you pls. give me the website for Neora Valley Resort.. How does Neora Valley Resort compare with Sonar Bangla in terms of location, rooms, etc.. Is there another Neora Resort in Lava or are both are the same? My interest in primarily in Rishyap... How do you compare Rishyap with Lava? If trekking in pine forests is the focus, would Lava or Loleygaon score over Rishyap? Awaiting your help... Regards

Thumbs up Rishyap

Sonar Bangla – Room #1. we are just back from that area. We hired a Bolero Rs. 900 / day + fuel (8 KM / liter).
BTW, Sonar Bangla didn’t charge rent for driver – it was free.

No travel agency. Babul is the owner of that Bolero he drives the car. His contact # = 09434607466.
I’ve just uploaded some pix in album…… you’ll find the picture of that vehicle – it is in good condition. (http://www.indiamike.com/photopost/s...79/ppuser/4434)

Now, the comparison : Rishayp and Loleygaon is far better than Lava. Lava is just like a mrket place of hills.

- cheers.
