Volunteer Opportunties Bangalore

Hi there,

I am finding it quite hard to find places in Bangalore that offer volunteer programmes.

So far I have:

Dream A Dream
Cry
Freedom Foundation

Is there a list or directory of organisations that offer volunteer work in Bangalore?

Your help would be appreciated thank you!!!!

I do know that there are other opportunities for volunteering in Bangalore apart from the ones that you have cited. Unfortunately as a new forum member I am not allowed to post a link. I am moving to Bangalore in about a months time so have been busy researching this very helpful site. All the best with finding info on volunteering.

Hi Harriot! Thanks for the reply! I think I have found a good place and will start this week and see how it goes. I have a good feeling about it though!

What is your purpose on moving to Bangalore? Can I ask where you are from?

Good to hear that you have found a suitable place to volunteer at and I hope that it works out for you. I am an Aussie although have lived away from Australia for the last eleven years. My husband is being relocated to Bangalore for a couple of years so I'm just tagging along too.Last time I was in India was twenty five years ago so I'm sure that everything will have changed heaps since then. I am really looking forward to new surroundings and culture...that is, once I have coped with moving and getting set up again.
