nepal visa question prt 2
Hi all,
was wondering if anyone has had trouble with repeated indian tourist visa,s i,m off to nepal to apply for a fourth (i got my last one from there) and on the embassy website it says that repeated indian tourist visa,s are not entertained, what ever that means seeing as i,ve had 3 already. The last place i want to get stuck is nepal even though it,s a beautiful country rather be in goa for the world cup so if anyone has had experience and can help i would be very grateful! i have roughly one week to decide what to do aghhhh ![]() |

I believe it depends on what country you are from--your passport--and what type of visa you already have. I definitely could be wrong, but I think 3 times renewal might be the limit for 6 months. For a U.S. passport they have a variety available. For UK it's different. Better check the India Visa website for your particular information. You will get stuck in Nepal if you don't have the right Visa info.
Goa is probably more relaxing than Nepal right now! There is always the beach area of Sri Lanka for hanging out, if you can't get back into India. It's not India but it's hot and has cheap accommodations (try Hikkadua) and gorgeous beaches. (we were there in Feb.) |

Hey Frosty
How did you go with number 4? I've had 3 6 month Visas in a row (1 tourist - Australia, 2 business - Colombo). I want another one, preferably business, without a long flight to my place of birth (New Zealand). Today, Colombo told me 2 in a row is okay, but not 3. They only gave me a 1 month tourist visa as a stop-gap. Were you successful in getting a fourth visa by going to another neighbour - ie can you get 2 in a row in Colombo, then 2 in a row in Katmandu...? camelgirl, you appear to be right that "3 times renewal might be the limit for 6 months", if you don't go back to your country, and aren't from Us and... |
