Lightbulb learning/assisting with social development in India

Hi,

1. Itineary and 2. contact assistance please

mission:
I've 2 months left to learn about social development methods in India. during this time I'd like to volunteer to assist and also observe how various social development projects operate.

status:
Currently in Kerala I shall travel north from 1 June to end July

opportunity:
I could be valuable to organisations who are just starting or require decision making assistance, owing to previous commercial and management experience (i.e. business model/business plan type advice) - so feel free to include any contacts for folks who are trying to establish initiatives in India as well.

If an organisation is well established then I can fall in line with the way things run, as happy to learn about how they are bettering peoples lives.

resources and background:
- I have learnt some basic hindi but am not fluent - yet!
-31 yrs of age, male and happy to fit in with rural or urban living standards as best I can;
- second trip to india (so about 5 months experience across north and south)
- likely can stay 2 weeks at any one organisation, or longer if its valuable to them;
- train, plane and bus are all travel options for me;
- i'll grab tourist destinations on the move if possible but this is not a priority;
- budget about R300/day (max) for accomodation, food expenses or less. (Excluded travel expenses for sake of this post). Lets not let the budget get in the way of good opportunities though.

get set...go:
***I'll add in my itineary here in a few days*** but can start in area of Kochi/Trivandrum/Coimbartore/Madurai region from 1 June.

Thank you for reading. I want to learn about how social development is achieved and managed while providing a contribution as appropriate.

Best

social explorer - welcome to India Mike. I am moving this post to the Volunteering Forum and I suggest you post your travel itinerary in this India Travel Itinerary Advice forum as a separate thread. Otherwise it is going to become too confusing for our members.
