I don't know. I think i'll help whoever (or whatever) needs help. I guess there are "fields" that needs helpful hands more than other.. But i really dont know who are the most in need. Baby steps... I hope i'll find!

Try locating NGO's which work for special causes, try locating your own forte, you cant be master of all. You can either help poor people with money which will be the direct way of approaching or you can work with a ngo which provides them with food, shelter and clothes. can you help me get a czech residence permit...i need it most..oh god please.. kidding ! cheers and wish you luck in your mission. |

Thank you
![]() I'm like broke all the time so I don't think I could help that way! plus I'd like to be close to those I help. babies, old people, cats, dogs, birds, anything. I don't mean I'm good in everything but at least I'll give my best in whatever I'll do eheh ![]() And not too big associations, for me the smallests are the most in need. I'll try to find out on internet but i'm not sure. Anyway thanks a lot! And if anyone has any advice again, welcome eheh ![]() Last edited by sw8tie : Mar 15th, 2009 at 16:39. sw8tie,
I thought you were open to Volunteer anywhere in India, however Missionaries of charity, founded by Mother Teresa has it's camp in Delhi also. You may call at 23812180 to find out the volunteering opportunities. There may be possibilities at Godhuli, a Senior Citizens’ Home at Dwarka also, the contact no. is 26427650 |

Hello, It is good that you have no money to donate if you are seeking to work with an NGO in India. I have found no NGO in India which does not use donated money for the benefit of the people who run the NGO.
I wish you were in Jaipur. In that city i have someone who works with WSHGs to give money and support to poor rural blind. She could use help. Last edited by SitaParityaga : Apr 1st, 2009 at 07:15. Reason: more of the same |

well, there are a lot of volunteer options in Delhi..
first, you should have an idea of what cause interests you: health, education, environment etc.. then, about time commitment and what area of Delhi you want to volunteer in.. then, others can help based on specifics one website you can look at is http://delhi.aidindia.org/ for teaching, teachindia is doing good work here's another list of NGOs: http://www.younginfluencers.com/sitec/default.asp?id=90 |

Hey Sw8tie
There is a school for the blind somewhere close to The Oberoi hotel...a friend of mine volunteered there while she was in new delhi..mayb you can check that out. let me know how it goes as I myself am thinking about doing it too. @Raghu Kumar- Can i get the details for that too?? it would be perfect if I can work with a chapter in new delhi that has saving the earth and environment as its mission. thanks. |
