Have Needles, will travel, but Where?!?
I am an acupuncturist / Oriental Med. practitioner here in the US. I was planning to go to Kathmandu to treat Tibetan refugees in a hospital there, but they are no longer running the acupuncture department, as they cannot keep it staffed year round, which creates gaps in treatment. Since I have the time blocked out in October, I am wondering if anyone knows of a place where I could be of service. Majna ka Tilla in Delhi? Other Tibetan communities? I know of a school and clinic in West Bengal called Ananda Nagar, but they are pretty popular and seem to get a lot of volunteers, so I would like to go somewhere I would be more needed, in either India or Nepal. Any contact details with suggestions most appreciated.
thanks

Thanks for the bump, Steven! I'd hate to see this message get buried without so much as a single suggestion!

From other threads it seems that Sirensongs and YogaGal are well aware of the happenings within the Tibetan communities. It might be worthwhile to pm them directly for suggestions
Great initiative, Good Luck! |
