Finding something to love in a Charity
I'm heading to India early 2008 to spend six moths or so trying to be at least a bit useful. I'll be in Delhi mostly, where I have a few NGO's to check out/work with. I have them on good recommendation from someone I trust, but honestly don't completely know what to expect when I get there.
So the point of my thread is this - share a bit about a charity/NGO you love in India. It can be somewhere you've been or somewhere you stumbled upon on the internet. Ideally it's somewhere that gives you hope for India and/or humanity (or yourself). I've got a few - Butterflies (www.butterflieschildrights.org) Karm Marg (www.karmmarg.org) Project WHY (www.projectwhy.org) Hope Project (www.hopeprojectindia.org) |
