Another voluntary work post...!
Have just been looking thorugh previous posts, and had a look at the contained links.
I am doing a degree in International Development in London and have a month before I return to uni (beginning of Feb), so am looking to improve my experience and skills before I return ( a little). I have some experience of volunteering in Indi and lots of experience of the social care sector in the UK. Any suggestions?? I'll be there next Wednesday for a month. Can pay all my expenses no probs. All suggestions gratefully received. ![]() |

Hello onewoman.
I suggest you contact indiamike member Shanthi, she helps with an organisation called www.shanthistreetkids.org If her organisation can't help, she often has information about other similar organisations. EDIT NOTE, just saw a posts that suggests you'll be in Delhi, Shanti is close to Chennai so almost a world away.

Hi! I'm a student of social work in Mumbai. What kind of work are you interested in and in which cities? visit www.karmayog.com. it lists the projects N.G.O's are doing and volunteer work, though mostly in Mumbai, maybe it'll be of help. If there's any specific way n whicht I can help you, let me know.

Is there any specific kind of work you are interested in? Then I'll be able to tell you specific N.G.O's and the work you can do and I can put you in touch with them. All the best with your search.
