Varanassi in late July
Hi,
Would you reccommend to visit Varanassi in the end of July around the 22 of July? Thanks, Ellie |

Hi Norpan
Vatanasi will be really hot in July, have any alternatives? Give us some more specifics! |

Hi,
Yes, I am mostly worried about the ghats being flooded due to moonsoon? We will still land in Delhi on the 17 July but maybe go to Jaipur instead - what do you think? Appreciate your help! Cheers, Ellie |

Depending on the year, the ghats may or may not be affected enough to throw your plans off. I was there in late July several years ago, the water was rising but did nothing to bother me or my enjoyment of Varanasi. If I were you, I'd go; Varanasi is a must.

Norpan,
In case you have not heard already, early on the morning of the 22nd of July, visible in Varanasi, will be a total solar eclipse. Definitely a plus, in my book. I will be in Varanasi myself for a few days on either side of it. |
