Varanasi with a baby

OK - I have spent a good 5 months in India before and never got round to Varanasi - and I long to go...

Heading back for 3-4 months July-mid Oct and I really want to spend a few days in Varanasi.

I am aware of the neccessary precautions with a baby (she will be about a year by the time we reach varanasi, if all goes according to plan, which it probably won't ) - but do I have to worry about Varanasi?

Anyone gone there with a baby or toddler?

Cheers!

I LOVE INDIAMIKE

The period would have heavy rains .The roads are many times waterlogged.
The weather would be hot and humid but evenings would be nice.
Carry very light cotton clothes.Drink lot of water to avoid dehydration.Eat light food ,if hiring a place with kitchen option then it's best and safe.
