Varanasi to Bodh Gaya and onwards
Family of 5, will be in Varanasi in April, going down to Bodh Gaya then want to go to Rajgir and Nalanda.
Can we go direct from Bodh Gaya ? If so how. Would we be able to visit both in a day trip or should we stay in Rajgir for a night or two. Any suggestions on accomodation in Rajgir. |

Not what you asked for however....
If you are OK using Sleeper Class, you can get a direct overnight train from Varanasi to Nalanda or Rajgir. Sleeper Class details & photos. |

what's your mode of transport from varanasi. Bodhgaya is around 240 kms from varanasi which can covered in 5 hours. Nalanda is around 110(3 hours journey) kms from bodghaya and rajghir is around 15 kms from nalanda. I would advice you to stay at rajghir.
