This documentary about children who work on the burning ghats is playing at the Museum of Modern Art in NY today, Wed, June 17, at 4 pm.

It's amazing. Watch for it, it is likely to appear in India-related or anthropological or human rights film festivals.

When I went to Varanasi myself, I was more affected by the obviously horrible lives of the low-caste ghat workers than by the "spirituality" aspect of things, so I was really interested in this movie when I read about it.

I'm videast myself and I'm just back from India were I spent 3 months shooting and editing little reports.

I did one about Varanasi www.video-india.com / VARANASI - Holy City

I was more in search of spiritual explanations and understandings... I came out very disappointed at that time. If I had been more clear in my head, I would have gone towards meeting people and speaking about untouchables and those society aberrations...
