Restaurants near Ganges view guesthouse

Can anyone suggest a few good restaurants within walking distance of the Ganges view guesthouse at Assi ghat.

The restaurant at the Divya hotel. The restaurant at the Haifa hotel.

A bit further away, a good place for breakfast is the Bread of Life Bakery.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if these places serve alcohol. We're not big drinkers but you can't beat an ice cold beer with a curry.

Yes, they do. But you might have to insist. And they will most likely cover the bottle of Kingfisher with a napkin!

I remember having a beer in a steel tumbler! In a creepy looking place in one of the narrow lanes (won't be able to get there again for the life of me!) of Varanasi!

The beer was referred to as a 'special cold drink'!

The Haifa has a great Middle Eastern Thali. There is also a pizza place right on Asi Ghat, called the Vaatika. Wood fired pizza, and last time had a great spinach and cheese ravioli there. The Vaatika is a nice place to eat in the evenings, great people watching along the ghat.
