In Varanasi the Navratri will take more the form of the Ram Lila, rather than the "nine days of Durga" aspect. This, from folks who spent Navratri in Varanasi a couple years ago. Lots of tableaux and children dressed up with blue faces and Hanuman tails. (or so I remember them saying)
