It's ESSENTIAL that you give more details when asking this type of question, the only loosers when you don't give details are you and the poor sod who tries to help you, only to find they've wasted their time.
For example..... Fly from Hyderabad to Delhi, then fly from Delhi to Varanasi. (I'd bet Rs1000 that you don't want to fly.) The train you mention runs 2 days a week, so it's difficult to estimate what day you want to travel. What class? Have you considered trying the Tatkal quota? (booking Secunderabad to Patna)

The only thing I can find that closely fits with your travel plans (dep Hyd monday late, arrive Varanasi wednesday early) is the following...
Train 2669 departs Warangal on Tuesday morning (8th July) at 04:00, and gets to Varanasi at 08:00m on wednesday, 3 hours later than you planned to arrive. An awful departure time from Warangal, but you'd leave home at about the same time as you would to catch you original train. Sleeper Class = WL 8/WL 3 (16 berths used for the Warangal-Varanasi sector) If you're prepared to pay the extra, you could book Chennai Central to Chhapra on train 2669 using the Tatkal quota (make sure you say that you'll be boarding at Warangal), and remember that the train departs Chennai on the monday, so that's the date to use when booking the Tatkal tickets. Sleeper Class would cost Rs700 per person, the Tatkal quota stands at WL 06 at the moment, but the total quota is 210 berths, so you're almost guarenteed a confirmed berth when the reservation chart is prepared. 3-tier air con stands at WL 01 (Tatkal quota MAS-Chhapra) at the moment, the total Tatkal quota for 3A is 12, 3A would cost Rs1800 using Tatkal. I also searched for 2 train options, changing at Nagpur, Itarsi, Bhopal or Jhansi, but either no availability, or very long journey time. |
