Internet connection in Varanasi

Hi there. My daughter is studying at BHU. She lives in Sikraul. Is there a reliance or Tata office near her? Please help. She has been trying to get a BSNL connection for the past two weeks; to no avail. Can somebody please help us? I am in South Africa and desperately need to be in contact with her via skype.

If she resides in IT-BHU hostel she may opt for the internet connection from warden's office.In any other hostel private cyber cafe are available.Beside this,other cyber cafe are also available at walking distance in market(But they charge Rs 15 per hour....)

I'm also a student of BHU,..

Just don't feel any hesitation to mail me for any other assistance

Thanks a mil, Ashish. She is staying with her cousin in an apartment in Sikraul. He is starting Sanskrit next week. She is at MMV doing BSC (Bio). She has a landline fone (BSNL) but they take so long to get the internet connection going. I was wondering whether there are USB data drives available like the ones Reliance and Tata Indicom photon has? Also, are there good tiffin services available nearby?

Please expand the address a bit more(If You believe me

) so that I could tell you better about the tiffin services and internet...
There are a couple of tiffin services nearby BHU,If you say I'll appoint one of them for your daughter...
For internet you or she may visit official sites of
BSNL;AIRTEL;TATA INDICOM;RELIANCE(for better speed)...

If you think I am helping you...NO It's BHU helping you to find out everything...Please inform your neighbours that BHU is good university an INDIA is even better...

Thanks a mil, son. BSNL connected her wireless today and I got to see her on Skype!!!!! Thanks a lot, anyway. She lives in an area out of town; not far from Raddisson Hotel, near courthouse. I believe the area is also called "Katcheri".

As for informing the neighbours abt BHU, I know first hand that it is a super place to study as I have lots of family from Mauritius who had studied there; my daughter is extremely lucky to have secured a place there. I just hope that she loves it as much.

Please give me a number for the tiffin service or I can also give her your e-mail addy so that she may contact you via e-mail.

I'm extremely sorry that I cannot contact to any tiffin service overthere...

Afterall,your address is 11.5 km away from BHU,which will definitely take at least 1 hour to reach from BHU(that to in a heavy traffic)

she should find tiffin service herself (or her cousin may help,I think raddison hotel may also help

)

Rooms are available for rent in
1)Lanka(Nearest place to BHU)
2)Mahmoorganj(End of BHU) etc.

But I understand it's not comfortable for her to hire a room and be there alone,Still it's the most advisable thing to do...

Not to worry, she has a 1 year lease in a lovely complex there. I will ask her to check at nearby hotels for tiffin service or maybe find a cook for 3 times a week.........I will certainly give her ur e-mail addy. Thanks for all the help. BTW, her cousin is from South Africa, too and he is just as lost as she is
