|  Impossible to book Palace on the Ganges? We have been trying to book Palace on the Ganges in Varanasi for about 1 month now! Sent 4 different emails/booking forms - could the place be closed down? Ok its not the only place in Varanasi but reviews are great, location is tip top and generally we liked the go of the place! Anyone help on how we might book it.. their website is non-responsive... IS IT ME??! All assistance very much appreciated. |

 | I realize this isn't the place you're interested in, but you might try the Ganges View Hotel, which is just a few meters north of the Palace on the Ganges. I stayed in the Ganges View for the month of June in '06. Remarkable place, much better "feel" IMHO than the Palace, which is, as you might know, much newer. Ganges View has second story rooms with balconies - glass enclosed/windows do open/table and chair on balcony, great views to sunrise.
