Hi, just last month my husband and I did the Goa Varanasi holiday..There are no direct flights, unfortunately..I researched for months...(unless something changed since then)

You have to fly to Bombay...

I got a really good deal on Spice Jet from Bombay to Varanasi (via Delhi)..

And then we took Jet Airways from Goa to Bombay.

Jet Lite has direct flights from Bombay to Varanasi and so does Jet Airways (as far as i remember)...Also Kingfigher i think..however, Spice Jet had the best price.

We stayed at Palace on River with a Ganges river view..

It was a great expererience and an amazing holiday to combine Goa and Varanasi into 1 holiday, i hightly recommend it!!

Well you will need to make a connection to travel between Goa and Varanasi.

Try www.makemytrip.com and enter your proposed dates for travel.

This web site is very good and will tell you all the details of all the flights with connections even the cheap frill ones, you can then decide which ones you book.

I haven't used makemytrip to book any flights since when I tried I was charged in USD as I was trying to book from UK. It is much cheaper to book with the cheap frill airlines direcly as they only charge in INR.

Hope this helps and you have a lovely trip.

You can also give the Goa- Dly- Varanasi route a try ... may get better fares - also if you are going to waste a day travelling
(best case scenario) then you may as well go to delhi and take a overnight train to Varanasi - cheaper and much more comfortable ...
