Ganga Dussehra Festival June 08

Hi,

I have heard about a festival called Ganga Dussehra, I have searched the web and I think it starts on 13th June. We are due to arrive in Varanasi on the 14th June and wondered if someone can tell me a bit more of what we are to expect. And if we should pre-book a hotel ?

I think the destival lasts for 10 days, but someone correct me if I am wrong.

I have checked this out with the hotel that I am staying in, and they have confirmed that the fesitval is on the 13th June, can anyone advise how many days it lasts.
