Hi all
today I saw a clipping of Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan's sons Amaan Ali and Ayaan Ali perform at 'Sankat Mochan Sangeet Samaraho' function in Varanasi. The 5 day music festival sees the brightest stars of Indian classical music perform within premises of Sankat Mochan Mandir in Varansi. While I was in Varansi, I used to attend as much as possible. I have seen Pt. Jasraj, Pt Padma Talwalker, Ashwini Bhide Pande, perform from a distance of 5 feet. I 'm not sure of when the program started this year - usually it is organised in 2nd half of April.Request to all music lovers presently in Varansi NOT TO MISS this chance to see stalwarts of Indian classical music preform at such a close distance. Entry is free. once again, please please attend if you are in Varanasi
