Best Food In Town (Top Five)
Here is my top five food places in Varanassi..... Why not add your list.
1) 'Raj Shree'... Dasaswarmedh Ghat Rd (opposite the Church) Awesome, try the local curry Banares Aloo Dhum, Other items on the menu, all delightful, real Varanasi Cooking! It's out of this world. The manager has a large beard and collects coins.... take him a coin from your country. 2) 'Keshari' alley off : Dasaswarmedh Ghat Rd, very sexy curries, try the Gobi Korma, a stronge little number. No Music, Four per table, Pay at exit. WELL WORTH IT! 3) 'Sindhis' Chintamani Road (near the cinema) Good Hindustani Curry House. 4) 'Vatica' Ass Ghat.. Pizza heavan, try the spinach garlic onion topping, go large for a mere 20rs more, nice waiter in a black turtle neck. Real wood oven.... These boys don't mess around. 5) 'Bread Of Life'.. Assi Ghat Road Over priced, but nice brownies, real coffee and bread. eat in or take away ![]() |

1. Plaza Hotel, Old Court Road, Jullundhar. Try the best Punjabi food in good clean surroundings with the prices of a normal dhaba.
2. Fauji da Dhaba on main road form Bahadargarh to Rothak. Again top Punjabi food. 3. The fast food place opposite the Golden Temple. Good tasting Punjabi snacks) 4. The famous stuffed parota dhaba near Malerkotla (Punjab) 5. The restaurant at the Radisson in Jullundhar. Great clean setting with a good variety of food |

Monga restaurant? Was that the name? Something like that. Underground about 200metres from Godowlia roundabout on the right hand side, on the way to the river, Dashashwamed Rd. Cashew (Kaju) Curry. Yum.

1. Diamond Restaurant 2. Some place exactly between godowlia and lanka.. used to sell very spicy chicken biryani. 3. Pehalwan's LawangLata, one of the best sweets i have ever tasted.. and couldn't find them anywhere else in india. 4. Thandai of the cornershop in Godowlia main signal. Rest I don't remember right now.. but will update later.. ![]() |

1) Keshari, vegeterian restaurant, clean and fresh food. Dashashwmedh Road.
2) Hotel New Garden, good chicken tandoori, a bit overpriced compared to Delhi but worth it. In front of Sushil cinema in Godowlia. 3) Zee Restaurant. Rooftop with a nice view on the market of Dashaswmedh, serves very good chicken dishes and cold beer (not on the menu, of course, but available...) 4) Vatika the pizzeria in Assi Ghat, I used to like it. Now no more, because even though the pizzas are made in real pizza oven, they don' t add salt to them, they make them "Indian style". And pizzas for me will never be paratha or roti.... |

Try the Down Under Pub in Chandigargh[under Hot Millions fast food joint]best chicken sate and honey lemon chicken.
In Srinigar, opposite Dal LakeShamyana restaurant, magic Butter Chicken and Rogan Josh. Aurangabad,Food Lovers is wonderful especially the beer and special fried chicken. In Jalandhar{Punjab} the Leo Fort hotel has the best curd.Actually thinking about it,Punjab has great food fullstop. |
