nous sommes 3 filles qui avons nos 8 derniers jours a passer a varanasi, nous voudrions savoir ce qu`il est interessant de faire autour de cette ville?? nous aimerions visiter les alentours mais cela a lair complex donc nous voudrions savoir ce qui est le plus sur et le moins cher bien sur! quelle est la route la plus sure entre varanasi/satna/khajuraho ???

we are three girls who are going to spend 8 days in varanasi so we would like to know what is more interesting to do around this city? we want to visit around but it looks complicated so we want to know what is the more safe and cheapest of course! how safe is the road from varanasi/satna/khajuraho ??

I don't know about road transport from Varanasi to Khajuraho, many tourists either fly or get the train to Satna then a bus to Khajuraho.

Indian Airlines flight IC 806 departs Varanasi at 1210 and gets to Khajuraho at 1250, this flight operates on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday only.

Train 1062 (M, W, F, Su.) and train 1066 (Tu, Th, Sa.) depart Varanasi Jn at 23:15 and get to Satna at 06:15.

2-tier air con = Rs 570
3-tier air con = Rs 411
Sleeper Class = Rs 157 (not air con)

Satna is about 4 hours by bus from Khajuraho.

There are also many daytime trains to Satna.

Hi,
In 2005 we made a trip with a car in this region, the roads where reasonable.
As far as your interest goes we started in Satna and it took three hours to go to Khajuraho.
Apart from the temples the Ken Gharial Sanctuary is a good place to go.
From there we went in I think five hours to Chitrakoot, a wonderfull quit place.
From there to Varanasi is about six hours.
