2 Days Visit to Varanasi

Hi All

I'm from Kolkata . I have plans to visit Varanasi in mid of June (16-17th). If I reach 16th Morning to Varanasi, which places can I visit in those 2 days ?

My return train will be on 17th night. It can either be from varanasi or Gaya.

I wish to visit Gaya , Saranath, Varanasi.(any other place which i should not miss? )

Can anyone help me in planning. Which place can i have my night stay on the first day ?

In Varanasi there are numerous Temples to visit like Durga Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Birth Place of Sant Kabir apart from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Also there is the Boat ride on the Ganges.

Sarnath is about 45 minutes from Varanasi and is definitely worth a visit, very peaceful and quiet.

There is also Allahabad which you can visit to be at the Sangam, the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.

You can also add Birla temple, which is in the campus of Benaras Hindu Universiy (B.H.U). Must see the evening Ganges ceremony at the Dashaswamedh Ghat.
