Yatra to Hemkund sahib

hi friends
i plan to visit hemkund sahib as per the following plan

27 sep 09 rishikesh to joshimath
28 sep 09 joshimath to ghangharia
29 sep 09 visit hemkund sahib and back to joshimath/ghangharia
30 sep 09 ghangharia/joshimath to rishikesh


pl suggest
1. is the schedule achievable
2. will the gurudwara be open - i am desperate to take dip in the holy waters
3. should i plan to reach joshimath back on 29th or stay at ghangharia

pl reply soon as very less days are left

on day 3 you intend to do 6+6+13=25km. you will be exhausted. if you are ready for this, you can do it
gurudwara is open, you can have a holy dip in the sarovar
you need to add one more day.
i think you are lack of info. joshimath to govind ghat is motorable road. from govindghat trek starts for 13 to ghagharia and further 6km to hemkund saab.
plan accordingly

hi how are you?
1st--this schedule is achievable.
2nd---gurudwara will be open..
3rd--- on 29th its depends on time that how soon you can come back. it will be more better you stay at ghangharia and next day you can come back to joshimath.. because if you start on 29th morning for hemkund its 6km treak from ghanghria and you can back by evening to reach to ghangharia.. so better stay there and next day moov to joshimath..
