IAM AGED 59 AND A DIABETIC.HENCE CANT TAKE MUCH PAINS,
But I love Himalayas like anything.
What I require from you people is advice regarding where to go to have great views of himalayassitting in my hotel room balcony without moving much.Only in up or uttaranchal,
Saw manali trice.I feel it lost its charm because of over tourism.
Please help.
Also I want to settle down in a cool place having medical facilities with low cost of living.Let me know if possible.

Uttaranchal

Kausani- can also get more expensive hotels than another option, ie

Chaukori which has better views. But all depends on your luck with the weather at either place, as far as views are concerned.

Depends what level of medical facilities and what 'cool' means to you. If you want the facilities of a big city and the cool of the hills, afraid there are no places I can think of that are cool throughout the year.

Hi,
you want spectacular views of snow covered mountains and fora holiday only - go to Kanatal/ Thangdhar on Mussoorie - Chamba road. It is close to Mussoorie/ Chamba (both of which have medical facilities).
If you want a place to live permanently (or to spend part of the year) then - Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Mukhteshwar, Almora, Ranikhet can be considered.
