Valley of flowers

All the users of this site I have some quarries regarding a place called Vally of flowers. The quarries are as follows :-
1) What is the best time to visit this place and how to reach there?
2) What will be the estimated cost of travelling for 3 person in Bus / Cab from Hrishikesh to Vally of Flowers?
3) And the range of Hotel expenses ??

Hi I haven't been myself but understand Jul/ Aug to be the best time to visit, i may be heading there myself from Delhi as for staying you would need to stay in the village of Ghangaria, for reaching it believe you can go by bus or train from Delhi see the nightly Corbett Park Link Express

Hope this gives you some pointers

1) The best time to visit VOF is 30 Jul to 30 Sep. The rain started in High and low areas of Uttarakhand already. Am in Dehradun raining also here. Choose the last week of jul this year.
2)By Bus you may reach joshimath in 10 hours. Govindghat almost half an hour away is a starting point for VOF. My approx estimate including Auli in last year was Rs 6100 for two.
3)I got contacts of all budget and other hotels. 600-1200 in season

Can u please suggest me some hotels and can u please provide me the Bus fare or cab fare

Hi can any body tell me how to reach Sandakphu and what will be the costing for 3 person for 7 days

Sandakphu is in Paschimbang (west bengal) bordering Sikim and not in Uttarakhand. Treking starts from Maneybhanjyang and is a 4 days trek.

I know that even I am from WB Kolkata but I dont know how it got posted in Uttrakhand

Sept to Oct mid is the best time to visit
take bus from rishikesh to reach there
and hotel will cost you aroung INR 800

I am planning for valley of flower from 11.9.11 to 16.9.11 specially to see the flowers , my ques. is will i get the flower in those period of time as i heard that best time to visit vof from 15th july to 31 aug. if any body want to see the flowers.
so is it worth while to visit to vof in sep mid ( my main motto to see the flowers)
so i request vetern members to provide their opinions based on people opinons only i will firm up my plan or else i will go next year

Yes, there will be flowers, though the veriety will be lesser than that of August.

For people wondering about accommodations,
I'd just like to inform that it is pretty cheap and available...
room rents in budget hotels will be around 400-600 per day in the entire route... but do not expect too many facilities and I experienced a lot of power cuts...
