Uttrakhand trip In Oct 2012
Hello Friends,
I am planning 9-10 trip in Uttrakhand between Oct 10th to 20th.
We are 5 people based from Mumbai & planning to visit following places:
Rishikhesh,Haridwar,Nainital,M ussorie,Ranikhet,Kausani,Corbe tt,Binsar,Almora
So I request you to provide suitable itineary covering above places.We would start our journey from Delhi & wish to hire vehicle for whole trip.If require we would drop some above mention places for some other alternative.I have following queries :
1. Any Reliable Car Rental Info for hiring car for full trip.
2. Rafting possible in my journey date due to weather.
3. Whether Mussorie should be included?
4. How is Misty Mountains in Jaltola as I found it amazing & is it doable in above schedule.
5. Is it worth going Corbett in Oct as few suggested it remains closed.

you can do rafting at rishikesh(shivpuri) in october.
climate is pretty cool in nanital due to rain..i suggest you
to visit pangot..its 51km from nanital and its very good place to visit due to lush greenery.u'll find campsite as well there.

I can only reply on the places - Mussorie isn't worth it if you are anyways going to Kumaon region. Take that time to explore more there. I can help you with car rental references if noone else replies here for sometime - as I don't use them as much for this sector so don't know the correct costs.
Why not stick to Kumaon region only ... Start from Kathgodam.
Following places can be considered
1. Mukteshwar
2. Chaukori
3. Munsyari
4. Kausani
5. Nainital
In Binsar will not get electricity if you are planning to stay in KMVN. So do consider that.
For Cabs ex Kathgodam:

Depends on weather, but I think 95% YES

I will say NO.
