So, this was my itinerary and I want to add a few more things.

First of all, we both hate crowded places and so we generally avoid tourist places.

So please suggest some places where we can see only some beautiful places and not filthy tourist places.

Secondly, I want to go to some really beautiful places and I wouldn't mind driving an extra mile for that.

We haven't booked anything for stay as of now, so everything in the plane can change.

We are carrying a tent, for 3 people and have plenty of space inside the tent. So, I wanted to ask you about some places where we can camp,

like pay for the place and camp there, but the place should be safe and beautiful.

I would be glad if you can suggest some places like that, I would like to spend at least 2 nights in the tent.

Main thing I wanted to ask you was, according to the plan, do you think we can actually do 100 to 150 kms in a day in those hilly roads??

I think I am trying to do too much on each day, in the beginning of the plan.

I have also read that after late evening, driving on those roads is not allowed, so pls comment on how should the whole plane be.

I will be glad if you could share some things on where to stay and some contacts, and what the budget should be. Mind you, we want this to be a budget trip,

Backpacking places can be a plus.

One other thing I wanted to ask you was, we are thinking of doing a trek to Gomukh glacier and stay there for a day to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets.

So, Is this time appropriate for that trek? will there be any other travelers walking the route?? Will the horses or Palakhies available at this time, just in case??

I have read about the opening of the temples at Gangotri to be on 14th may or something, so what about the stay and is it advisable to do that walk of 18kms at this time,

when the temple will be closed??

We are travel photographer couple and we want this to be a photography trip.. so we can skip more crowded places like masoorie

and instead add a more beautiful and mainly secluded place in the plan.

If you want to stay the first night at Dehradun, then drop New Tehri on the way up and take the short route to Uttarkashi next day as pointed out by wildmountain. Anyway you want to stay there on the way back so why twice?

There'll be practically no accom available at Gangotri in April. You could of course stay in your tent but it'll be very cold at night.

You need a permit from the Forest dept to go to Gaumukh, generally no problem during the season. Whether you'll get permits before the season starts you'll have to check with DFO office in Uttarkashi. If you do get a permit you'll have to carry all your supplies, there'll be absolutely nothing available anywhere.

Uttarkashi-New Tehri-Dhanolti-Mussoorie - again the long way, but nothing stopping you if you really want to. If you drop Dhanolti and Mussoorie, you can head from Chamba direct to Rishikesh and Delhi.
