Trip To Kumaon in October - Hotel Advice Needed

Dear IMers ,
I have made a plan a to Kumaon in October with my family of four , myself,wife,10 year old son and 4 year old son .
Made a plan according to the Availability of KMVN Binsar and train ticket ... changed a plan bit from the earlier one I have posted in "Escape to Kumaon"

3rd Oct Reaching Kathgodam at 9.30 HRS to Ranikhet (84 KMS)
4th Oct Ranikhet to Kausani (76 KMS)
5th Oct Kausani
6th Oct Kausani to Chaukori(79 KMS)
7th Oct Chaukori
8th Oct Chaukori to Binsar (58 KMS)
9th Oct Binsar to Nainital (94 KMS)
10th Oct Nainital
11th Oct Nainital

For Binsar booking KMVN Binsar
For Chaukori , booking Ojwasi Resort , How is it ??
For Naintal , Looking to book KMVN Talital , What you say ?? Or any good Hotel with a budget of 2500/-
Suggest Hotel for Ranikhet and Kausani ??

Any one out there to help me with the Hotels

There are many hotels in Kausani and Ranikhet. I would advice against booking in advance as in Oct accommodation wont be a problem.
For Chaukori , I think KMVN guest house is best.It has separate cottages and very large open space.

Hi,

Ojwasi Resort is at a good location,however i have not stayed at this hotel.

KMVN, Nainital is a good hotel overall.
Ranikhet - Hotel West View,Cheveron Mount (ok oks), Holm Farm Heritage

Kausani - Krishna Mount View,Chevron Eco Lodge, Sun n Snow Inn

Anyways , can you suggest budget hotel for nainital ??
Around 2000 .....

Try India Hotel, Mall Road just 700 mts. from the Bus station.

Changed my program once more , as I haven't got KMVN Binsar for 8th , instead I got it for 5th,

Your plan is fine. I would always book Binsar in advance and you have done that. For Nanital in October, I would not book but reach there scout around and also bargain. As for KMVN Tallital, the hotel is good but some of the rooms require you to climb a lot of stairs so be mindful of that, plus service is typical sarkari - so for Nanital I would say avoid KMVN. I am not sure of your budget and requirements but "Hotel Home away from Home" has got good reviews on this forum. You can search for it on IM
